Historically accurate reenactment of the Old West, The Kit Carson Mountain Men is organized for educational and charitable purposes by providing educational opportunities to its members and the public about life, times and historical events of the North American Mountain Men of the 1800's. Going back in history, from 1825 to 1840, the official Rendezvous were pre-planned meetings by fur companies looking to buy from company men and free trappers, who had been trapping beaver and otter all Winter. The Fort Bridger Rendezvous is a mountain man rendezvous in celebration of the Fur Trade Rendezvous Era that occurred in the Rocky Mountains between 1825-1840.
